Hi all my happy scrappers out there!
Scrapbooking is a massive hobby enjoyed the world over but in recent years it has literally exploded and "scrapbooking in the UK" is now as massive and as well participated in as scrapbooking in the US.
This article will touch on what scrapbooking is and is an excerpt from my FREE e-book "Scrapbook Extavaganza" that I am giving away this month only...

What is Scrapbooking?
Whilst there are no set in stone definitions of scrap booking, I like to sum it up by saying that...
"Scrap booking is a hobby, an addiction, relating to pasting newspaper clippings, magazine articles, personal photos, or other memorabilia into custom-decorated albums, or 'scrap books' that have a high sentimental value and can be passed though the generations."
In recent years, this pass time has grown at an exponential rate. Millions of people around the world now partake in the hobby - there are even scrap book hobby clubs in most towns the world over! Me and Heather go once a month to the local Hotel to meet fellow scrap bookers and exchange ideas and designs - we mostly go for the red wine and the good company though!
These meet ups are known in the trade as 'crops' and are very popular amongst scrappers. Usually we run competitions for the best layout and design etc and it can get competitive but it's always good fun and a great social occasion.
Many people think that it is merely a hobby for middle aged stay at home mothers but they couldn't be further from the truth! In fact - look at me - I am your typical 25 year old bloke. Pub on a Friday night, football on a Saturday, pub on a Saturday night and home in time to watch the highlights on T.V. with a nice take away supper! Then out to work Monday through Friday.
The only difference is, I like to capture my life's events, milestones and achievements in the form of scrapbooks!
So, scrap booking, is merely the hobby used by people to capture memorable occasions mostly in the form of a story within the scrapbook.
If you haven't tried it yet and are interested then please read on to find out more. If you are a scrap book pro some of the later chapters will definitely be of benefit to you.
Conclusion
Well, happy scrappers - Im gonna leave you to get on with your hobby and remember to enjoy it!
